VALUE

  1. It's true. In this case, participating the extracurricular of the student council has actually had the opposite affect on my grades. I have mush less time to study. However, I see the value in what I am doing. The most valuable lesson I am learning from this experience is how to balance everything and still find time to offer meaningful service. I've learned that many times, other things are sacrificed including sleep.

  2. I like how you juxtaposed complaints against your appreciation. It makes a really good point, that Humanities College Students College is only what you make of it. It can either be 1) that high-demand class that takes up more time than we ever expected, or 2) that fun and uplifting experience with classmates, friends and mentors.

  3. Craig, I really like that you are able to see the different types of value in the activities you have engaged in at BYU. I think we can find value in nearly everything we do, but I think we often neglect to recognize what we gain from these experiences.
