Talyn, First I have to comment on your design. Wow! It really catches my eye, and ties into your message perfectly. I found the image you used extremely effective and vivid.
Also, I understand what you mean by feeling insignificant at times. I'm reminded of a talk by Elder Uchtdorf that we studied as a council last semester: "Lift Where You Stand." From this talk I have tried to implement the principle of lifting where I stand, doing what I can in the position I have been given. Though you may feel insignificant at times, I know that all the hard work you put in to help the college will make a difference in someone's life. The all the little and seemingly insignificant things we do eventually add up to one enormous and extremely significant whole.
I think you are right on, Talyn. HCSC really has already opened so many doors for me and given me such a sense of gratification and pride. I am glad you are starting to feel that way too. You are more than just a droplet of water though- you are at least a few ounces! I think you will find that you make more of a difference than you think. If not directly to students yet, then at least to the other council members and to your committee! And even more importantly, we are learning leadership skills and organization and communication skills that will extend far beyond HCSC for us in our lives.
Talyn, I think your design is spectacular. I like that you changed the color of certain words to match the picture. I encourage you to jump in, like you said, and see what you can do. Sometimes I think that the biggest thing HCSC has done for me, is prepare me to serve other places. Do what you can, and you will make a difference (either here or somewhere else). Also, don't worry about feeling behind some of the other council members. If I have learned anything, it is that we are all doing our best and no one is better or worse for it. Good luck
