  1. Speaking of movies and rising to the occasion, while i have not seen 'The Truman Show', i have seen 'Forrest Gump'. Your story reminded me of the great uncertainty that Forrest faced throughout his life. I especially think of when he joined the army and pulled his injured buddy out of the line of fire to safety. I think there is hardly any greater act of rising to the occasion, then when it is to save the life of someone else, especially when bombs are flying all around you.

  2. This reminds me of the things I've had to read for my Humanties 350 class, which is all about theory. The point of theory, it seems, is to make students question their sanity and start wondering whether the world is real or whether human beings invented when they started using language to describe it. It's more than a little confusing and I have to keep reminding myself that the world around me IS real, that I'm not just imagining things.

  3. That's a pretty inspiring WAC. I wanna go jump in front of a right bus now. Not a real bus, but metaphorical buses in my life. I'm definitely at one of those times where I'm facing the unknown. One of the buses I jumped in front of is Washington Seminar for next Fall. I'm hoping it doesn't run me over, but instead stops, lets me get on, and takes me to a successful future.

  4. Kiel, you've gotta love it when someone quotes the Truman show! I LOVE the design of your WAC. It is very appealing, but doesn't take away from the content.
