The photo seemed a little pixilated when I viewed the response, but I really like how the format of the slide meshes perfectly with the topic. There's a great unity in design here. What a crazy story! I'm glad I know about Bethany's journey.
Wow! That is an inspirational story. It is incredible how determined she was to overcome that huge setback. Most people would have likely gone into depression, or retired from the sport they used to participate in if they lost a limb. Her examples proves that nothing is impossible if you just keep trying. I hope I can develop and practice this kind of determination in my life. Thanks for sharing that story Tristen.
I am so amazed by this! I remember hearing about her on the news and seeing a video clip of her exercising and doing what she could with what was left of her arm. I can't even imagine what it would be like to go through something so physically challenging, but the most incredible thing is that it was her own determination that got her back on that surf board. Others were afraid for her, but she knew she could do it--so she did. I love that about her! If only all of us could remember the power that we have within ourselves.
That is an awesome story, but my comment isn't about that. I think you played the trump card to get comments with your design: a picture of a cute surfer girl. Okay, so what if not all comments are from boys... Thanks for the story. It would have been so easy to give up on life an be a victim.
