At first I felt like the design here could have been more attention grabbing - perhaps the watermarked image of Lincoln centered, or something just more elaborate. But on second thought, I'm glad the design doesn't take away from the text. I really enjoy the way you've thrown words together here - sometimes almost childlike ["Being a bumpkin is not cool - he did not go to elementary school"], but ultimately touching. I love how you bolded "Only in 1860 did anyone care." Your response overall gives me courage to keep on trying no matter what anyone else things.
I wish I knew who "Sweet Treat" was. I think Abraham Lincoln is a great example of rising up to a challenge. I wish you had written a little more about what this means to you personally. I agree with Christa: that the design seems a little simplistic, but it doesn't distract from the words. I liked the font you used. It definitely has "classy" written all over it.
