Brady's WAC

  1. Very excellent insights! You know, the leaders I've admired most were those who communicated how much they cared about me, and your explanation in this WAC articulates why I've felt that way. The fact is, many well-to-do leaders who succeed in their tasks become so focused on checklists that they overlook relationships.

And the Gospel of Jesus Christ isn't centered around tasks; it's centered around relationships. Yeah?

Thanks for the post, Brady. It was a thought-provoker.

  2. I really liked your post. I agree with you that sometimes in administrating we get drowned in the logistics of things rather then focusing on the person. It is so vital to remember that we are not only serving the college but each individual. Only through thinkng of the individual can we accomplish great things.

  3. I think you need to remember how Christ treated Mary when there were other house chores to be done. Did he care about all of the little things? Nope. Just about the big ones. I think these last few semesters, having a baby, family, work, school, AND LSAT has really changed how I feel about things. Leadership isn't about the stress of taking care of everything....it's about the individuals who put us there (+ a little attention to the little things).

  4. Our stake president gave some counsel that I remember. He said there is a "public ministry" and a "private ministry." I like the idea of a "private ministry." Doing those little things everyday that just may be a blessing to someone else that no one will ever see.
