Cathedrals, in my mind, represent rising above. They took so much work and time, but they still stand as monuments to the faith of the people who built them.

I'm impressed by the poetical way in which you conveyed your experience. I can't imagine how breath-taking it would be to visit the beautiful cathedrals of Spain. I hope to go someday.
Wow. You write beautifully. I felt like I experienced that cathedral with you. Although I toured many cathedrals in my study abroad, I don't think I ever had quite an experience like this. Although I do remember the first time I walked into the St. Paul Cathedral in London and was completely overwhelmed by its size and grandeur.
