I think that picture is a good illustration of the point most of us students are at in our lives right now. The choices we make now will affect us for the rest of our lives. It's a scary thing to think about, but the comforting part is that we do have a choice.
I'm not sure that "Average" and "Memorable" are really opposites. Small, average things can be just as memorable as huge, important, world-changing events. I guess it depends on perspective.
