  1. This post is a really good reminder. I haven't written in my journal for months....

I can't say I've ever really considered it a form of art, but your explanation makes a lot of sense. I thought of how incredible the journals of Kirtland Temple experiences are to us today. They're precious heirlooms, really.

  2. With so much media, it can seem unnecessary to write in journals, but that is only one voice that will be preserved, and it is not of our individual experiences. I ebb and flow with my journal writing, but I am reconnected to its importance. Humanities is based on those preserved writings and pieces of art, and though I do not fear complete extinction at my death, I can do my part to preserve my life for future generations on this earth.

  3. First, I love the template you chose for your design--it looks great. Also, I appreciate you writing about journal writing because it is something I think I need to improve on. I'm glad that you have been able to learn the value of keeping a journal.

  4. This is great. For me, writing things down is a way of organizing them and making sense out of what has happened. Once the experience is on the page, I can stop worrying about it, sometimes. Also, I write down the things I really want to remember and maybe share with my own family someday.
