  1. I really loved watching Andrei play tennis. Everything I have ever heard about him has be extremely positive and inspiring. I would love to take your suggestion and read his book. Too often simply because someone is rich and famous we miss how incredible the little things they have done can be.

  2. Turns out that I am looking for a good read! Thanks for the recommendation!
It really is so interesting to think about gratitude correlating so closely with happiness. I just read an analysis about Eldorado and this really reminded me of that. Wealth isn't what makes the people of Eldorado happy, and it won't make us happy either. Obviously wealth and fame weren't the driving force behind Andre's happiness, and that is pretty great for someone wealthy and famous to admit.

  3. Great example! I too have realized that it is during those times that I remember to be grateful that I find the most happiness in life. Rather than focusing on the minimal amount of trials and disappointments we are currently facing in life, when we take a step back and realize the mountain of blessings that are bestowed upon us each day, life is seen through a new set of eyes! Thanks for your post!

  4. In a position so scrutinized by fans and the media, it is important to maintain inner dignity by listening to one's own voice more than others. We can fill our minds with our personal voice by identifying those things we are grateful for, especially that which we could most easily complain about. I am sure that his problems did not dissolve as he got older, but his gratitude created a new perception that defined his reality.
