"The hurricane" you're referring to wasn't Katrina, was it? That must have been quite a hectic time!
It's good to hear that missionaries like you and Elder McBride were out there getting things done and promoting warm fuzziness. I sometimes forget just how much I accomplished each day as a missionary compared to my average day now....
The first thing I thought when I finished reading your blog was, "Oh, Please! Warm, Fuzzy Feelings?!" It is hard sometimes hard to remember that it should make us feel good when we really do give meaningful service to others. Perhaps if we have forgotten this simple principle that Steeley Nate teaches us, we are not serving with a proper attitude.
