Its Okay to Laugh

  1. Ha this pic is definitely bizarre. But I like your point about laughing. It really can make a difference. I was reading Blink the other day and they've done studies that show that your facial expressions not only reflect your mood, but can also affect it. This means that smiling and laughing can actually make you happier.

  2. Thank you. I thoroughly enjoyed your posted photo, truly ingenious. I love those things that make us laugh because of its obscurity, not because it puts someone down in some degrading way. I grew up with parents that would have serious discussions and then break out into laughter--it did not make sense then, but I am continuing to realize the healing power of laughter.

  3. Hmmm. Darth Vader, using a Brita filter, while standing thigh deep in the ocean. Yeah, no sense coming out of that. But I definitely agree that humor is needed, if only to keep us just to the right side of sane. We don't want to be too sane after all. It takes a certain kind of person to put together pictures like that, and sometimes, I truly envy the way they see the world.

  4. Bill Cosby: man of genius! He has definitely brightened some moments in my life by making me laugh! I am grateful for those with the eyes to see what is absolutely hilarious about this life, and the ability to let the rest of us in on the joke! I am reminded of what Sis. Hinckley said about trials: we can either laugh about them or cry about them. I prefer laughing. Excellent insight about humor, and thanks for living it!

  5. I actually opened and closed your post several times, chuckling every time I re-opened it. My wife gave me some funny looks.

Not only is your post hilarious, but it also gives great insights about the harbor of humor. I thoroughly believe that my family survived because of our ability to find humor in the small things.

    Great post!

  6. Laughter is most definitely some of the best medicine available.

For example, after I lose a tough tennis match, and I feel like screaming--if I just laugh, all of a sudden things seem more manageable.
