Hometown Feeling

  1. Woh! That was so insightful! I totally agree with everything. It is important to express love, but not everyone does it in the same way. I really liked this post a lot. I don't even know what else I can say! Seriously, wow!

  2. It's sometimes hard to recognize others' love for us because they express it in a different way than we might expect. However, when we do recognize how people do express their love and concern, life becomes so much richer and more meaningful. Also, we can learn to express our love in ways that others will recognize. So yeah, I really like this post too. Plus, Jackson Pollock's paintings are pretty cool. Thanks, Craig!

  3. This idea of recognizing love is interesting in context of Elder Holland's quote because a lot of times those "personal or public days of despair" can be the result of trials or tragedies that are really expressions of love meant to strengthen and teach us. But it's hard to always recognize that.

  4. I love how you gradually increased your font size with every new word, accentuating its importance. I am quite a fan of modern art that blows people's minds--the expression is strong enough that it makes us feel. Even if we do not read what the artist is directly expressing, what we read is a reflection of our own perspective's expression. Recognition is more than simply existing or expressing because it looks outward.

  5. It wasn't a blank, blue screen--and surprisingly it was helpful. See Craig? If you really want to hold true to your bet, you need to post a blank, blue screen with a quote.

(If this post seems rash to some who read it, that is okay. This is clearly advice for Craig and he gets the tone of my writing).

  6. I withdraw my post. Craig, your post represents little, if anything at all.

I don't find this inspiring, motivating, or helpful whatsoever. Erica, this deserves minimal points.

  7. Languages of Love! I know it's a cliche at BYU, but man, it totally sums up my experiences as a missionary and teaching them. If we could only grasp the intent behind the expression, we'd all walk around carrying the love of others so much more firmly in our hearts. Hope, help, home, and love have an infinite array of expressions - what a rad painting to symbolize that truth.
