Leadership, Service, Time Management-Ben Miller

  1. Good equations. It makes your point nicely. I agree that service and time management are both essential for good leadership. If we don't plan our time effectively, we will find it much harder to serve or lead, and I definitely agree that it leads to stress.

  2. I completely agree with your equations, especially the last one when you said that service and time management equals a leader. I believe this to be true, because how could anyone follow someone who never has enough time and or doesn't value in helping out others.

  3. Ben,
How did I know you would be the one to post this? :) As I've served in leadership positions I have found your concluding equation to be very true. I also find the reverse to be true that ineffective time management= bad leadership. The most frustrating thing in the world is when a leader, cannot direct a meeting, or delegate a project in an efficient way.

  4. Ben, I like this because it shows how straightforward the relationship among service, time management, and leadership is. We can all come up with elaborate reasons of why these are tied together, but I like your simple equations because it shows that we don't have to spend forever trying to see the connections among these concepts.

  5. Yes...Finally a left-brained approach to these WAC's! I love the concise but profound way to express your thoughts on leadership, service, and time management...it is appealing. I particularly appreciate your equation of "Leadership- Time management = stress" and unfortunately have had to make that mistake multiple times in order to engrain it in my head!
