Yessss!! First to comment on your post and say, "WOW! That poem was awesome!" Thank you for your example of the courage to get out of our "comfort zones" and do those things that we know would improve our lives! Sometimes it is so intimidating to purposefully put yourself in a new environment in order to learn and grow, but as you have mentioned, in the end it is totally worth it! Thanks for your post!
Sara, I agree that one of the most important skills I have learned is how to get in touch with the right people to get a job done. With the Elder N. thing last semester it all came about because we were able to find someone who knew someone else. Not that people should be viewed as resources, but I do think that connections made are huge benefits!
This is a really good post. It is short and not super flashy, so we pay more attention to your words, which are amazing. Way to go! It's true that we can learn so much from books in the library, but a lot of learning comes from getting out and doing, becoming a better communicator and visionary like you said.
I love the image! I find the poem fitting as another witness of how doing something a little extra makes a difference. It is bizarre how many accept stale bread when they could have it freshly made with homemade jam! You have recreated life by sustaining more than old memories by contributing new creations today.
