Erica's WAC 2-10

  1. Emily, I think that for most people it is the other way around. At least for me, I found that my extra-curricular activities didn't even make my list until I was well into university. I consitrated too much on school. Only now am I beginning to see the benefit of extra-curtricular activities.

  2. Man, I wish I had your drive. When I was a freshman I believe my focus was:

    boys
    church
    friends
    school
    health
    ...
    homework
    tests

But, somehow, I repented of my ways, and found a way to balance school with extracurricular activities. And now with the student council on my list, I have begun learning how to use time more effectively...Granted, I'm still majorly tweaking this one. =)

  3. Funny how in high school, I felt like my extracurriculars WERE my path to success, and yet in college, I totally lost sight of how to do both effectively. I was super excited when a friend told me about the council because, at last, it was an activity (vs. scholarships of GPAs) to put on my resume. I wish I were better at incorporating health into my list of priorities. btw, as far as design goes, I love the graphic on the background, but I was wondering what your logistics were for the space in the text three-quarters of the way down?

  4. I had two other images that account for the spaces, but for some reason they didn't upload properly.

  5. I know what you mean about "not having time for extracurriculars." However, in my experience it's the extra curricular activities that are the reason I go to school really.

I think I view extra curricular ideas as a chance to practice the skills I'm supposed to be learning in the classes I'm taking.

It's also fun to see the progress we've all made from freshman-senior in our time management capabilities.
